    Dear dimwit on the phone

Dear Central Podunk boy's basketball coach: I thoroughly enjoyed hearing you bench about why you didn't see the results from yesterday's game between Central Podunk and South shirtsville in today's paper. It probably wasn't due to the fact that when you did decide to call in the results of that...

What's Santa putting under your tree?

A month or two ago, my dad was talking about an old Jets varsity jacket that he used to have when he was a kid. His exact words: "Damn, I miss that thing so much, I think I'd cry if I ever got one like it again." So this Christmas, I'm getting him that jacket and two boxes of Kleenex.

Can a blog get me a job?

*facepalm* Well damn. Clearly I need to learn how to read. Still, reach out to the sports editor anyway to see about freelancing opportunities. You need to go out and cover stuff in order to build up your clips.

Don't know if anyone's been thinking about getting it, but I had the chance to play Saints Row 3 the other day (my little brother got it, and he let me try it out for a bit). It's exactly what you'd expect--more of a guilty pleasure than anything, but still fun.

I for one am curious to see if they use the facial animation technology from L.A. Noire. Would make an already-damn-good-looking game even better.

The trailer for GTA V is out. We're going back to San Andreas. http://www.rockstargames.com/videos#/?video=8001

Running video games (and consoles) thread

Agree with you on RDR and LA Noire, but I think GTA IV was decent--it was the first Rockstar game on the Euphoria engine, so at the time it was huge. But, like someone said before, I'm sure Rockstar has figured out what works and what doesn't since then, so GTA V should be better. I would love...
