Just to get our national championship out away from all of the LIV chatter ...

Who does everyone like this week?

One I don't like: Cantlay. Shrinking violet in the majors.

Schauffele for top 10 seems like a smart play.

Cantley is too good to ignore, he's made for the US Open.

Xander has to win a major one of these days right?

I think Hovland might break through, he hits lasers and is long.

Is there a prop bet available for how many holes Tyrrell Hatton plays before he throws a club and curses about the layout?

Hatton is playing with Sergio and Kevin Na, is he the good guy in the threesome? Very eager to hear the first-tee reaction to the LIV crew. C'mon Boston fans, don't let us down.

Cantlay at the U.S. Open: T21 (a); T41; T45; T21; T43; T15.

First time I've ever seen someone question whether Boston fans will be boorish. Then again it is a slightly more upscale crowd than Fenway. Then again II, look at the 1999 Ryder Cup.

Borish would be cheering for the saudi backed players.
I think Boston can stoop that low.

The practice round galleries have cheered for Mickelson, FWIW. One highlight of the '88 Open was the startled reaction of the golfers coming up 18 in the final round when the gallery there was chanting "Beat LA" as everybody was listening to Game Six of the Lakers-Pistons Finals on their radios.

Kudos to the person on the first tee Thursday who yells "Fair warning boys, there's a cut this week!"

What a year to bring back the brick Pairing.

Very impressed that there's a curling arena on the grounds, right next to the media center (which is usually the indoor tennis center). I poked my head in there but alas no stones, it's all carpeted over for event space.
