2008 Running Pro Wrestling Thread

Well, judging from Impact tonight, it doesn't appear TNA is holding back exploiting Christian Cages' decision to return to WWE.

Anybody else seen this yet? I'm definitely intrigued.

Ummm.....the fact that I'm sitting here with idle hands should tell you nothing stuck out.

Soooo...you're saying you wanted another Diva mud wrestling match? :D

This has already received several good reviews, one of which said that it would create some Oscar buzz.

I'm not kidding.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller has a prominent role in the film I hear. As well as one of the guys from the WWE tag team from a few years back called The Heart Throbs, Romeo Roselli.

Rourke will get an Oscar nom for this. And it's a critically-acclaimed movie about professional wrestling. I'm so there.

Necro is indeed in the movie and in the trailer multiple times. Also saw a cameo by Ron Killings. I think Miller is the heel wrestler for the climactic match.

ROH is all over the trailer. Just an Oscar nom would be huge publicity for them.

Is it just me or has JR lost his passion?

And the build up for Taker-Show was incredibly lame on smackdown. Least they could have done was show promos of Taker building a special casket.

But no. We get that lame ending.

That's the trouble with WWE and "casket matches" it's not fresh anymore. It's the same 'Taker with just a different big man opponent. Nothing special about it at all.

Plus, they've been done so often, now it's not a shock to see anyone put in a casket.

When the Ultimate Warrior was put in and 'locked', it was a shocking thing to find him 'passed out' when the casket was opened. 16 years later, it's ho-hum.

This Survivor Series is one of the weakest WWE cards in recent memory, since they've done PPVs with all three brands for sure.

Jeff Hardy found unconscious in his hotel's stairwell this morning.

Methinks this will be strike three.

Enjoy your second stint in TNA, Jeff.

... that is if this isn't all a work, since wwe.com is the only one reporting this so far.
