Jeff Hardy found unconscious in his hotel's stairwell this morning.

Methinks this will be strike three.

Enjoy your second stint in TNA, Jeff.

... that is if this isn't all a work, since wwe.com is the only one reporting this so far.

Meltzer says it's a work:

WWE.com is reporting that Jeff Hardy was found passed out in a stairwell last night at the Boston hotel he was staying at and rushed to the emergency room.

Several sources have confirmed this as storyline and that Hardy is expected to be selling the injuries on tonight's Survivor Series show.

There is a lot of speculation this will lead to an Edge vs. Jeff Hardy feud, as Edge will be the culprit. While this feud is not confirmed, there was talk of Edge vs. Hardy at Royal Rumble, and Edge flew from Tampa to Boston last night for the show.

Yep, just read that too ... absolutely stupid because how many are going to check wwe.com to know what happened, and if they do, may pass on ordering the PPV.

What's funnier is that AOL Sports has picked up the story with the info from the wwe.com site. Oops.

It's confusing, because they've built up Hardy to be even crazier than usual in an effort to get into the title match again, and he'll either not wrestle or sell throughout the night, bringing down the match. And if they're going to do HHH-Kozlov, the first meeting should be treated with the proper epic build.

Now we'll have Edge-Hardy, which should be a good series of matches, but I'm torn. On the one hand, it isn't time to turn Edge yet, because he's too damn good a heel. On the other, he shouldn't be coexisting with Vickie yet -- and, apparently, ignoring the Undertaker after he sent him to heck.

Bottom line, this is tasteless and classless (I know, I know... this is the WWE after all) ... especially considering Eddie was found unconscious in a hotel when he died. Why fork with people like that? This could've easily been handled on Smackdown ... have Jeff lying unconscious backstage, leaving fans wondering a) who did it?, and b) will he be at Survivor Series?

Instead, most people at the arena and watching tonight won't have a clue as to what was going on. And the one's who did hear the news would think the worse consider who this was dealing with.

I could easily see this as a ploy to have the cards "stacked" against Jeff Hardy and for him to pull out the win, Edge to return soon (he's in Boston tonight), and those two to enter a series of PPV matches. Which would be really, really good. I'm sick of Undertaker/Edge matches. And Hardy getting a title reign would easily bump a lackluster card due to the memorable moment.

I don't see Cena getting the title as soon as he gets back. He needs to get his timing back, get rid of the ring rust. I think this feud could continue to the Dec. PPV.

I just don't see Trips jobbing for Hardy. My guess is Edge costs Hardy the strap to reignite the feud.

This shirt is why I rarely pay attention to wrestling anymore.

Can't say I blame you. The politics of the WWE and the ineptitude of TNA has hurt the industry as a whole.

Anyone got a Stream for Survivor Series?

Bostonbred,

Justin.tv usually has a few streams. Here's what I've got on

Jeff Hardy angle is a sign of absolute desperation by WWE. That, combined with a PPV and an economy that sucks hard doesn't mean extra buys, it means more people saying no to pro wrestling. It's why I've never paid for a PPV and never will.
