Left. Right. In a box by the door.
Somewhere on Twitter, Denny Hamlin is whining: "I honestly forgot how big of a pain flying commercial was.. Reality check..." (not even kidding here, folks)

Interesting comment from Marc McArdle, former competition director at "Richard Petty" Motorsports who has assumed the same role at Furniture Row Racing: ""It's good to be working for someone I can really get behind. Once Ray Evernham left RPM, things became more and more difficult. But (Furniture Row owner) Barney Visser is in it for all the right reasons, . . ." I suppose he'd rather not deal with all the changes George Gillett has induced since moving Evernham out the door.

Finally, Shannon Spake will no longer have to wear her maternity firesuit. Twin boys (weighing 4-08 and 4-05) born about 10 p.m. Jan. 1. Had they come a day sooner, she and her husband could have claimed them for tax deductions covering all of 2009.

Congratulations to Shannon, whom I really like a lot and who avoids any drama from being a woman on pit road. Others would do well to follow her lead.

Oh, whatever. Like this has EVER been all on-track conversation.

Besides, if Jimmie has to miss a race in July for the birth of his kid, one would think that could have an at-least-negligible impact on the points.

Relax. It was a just a smartass remark (rare for here, I know) about three of the first seven posts in a new NASCAR thread being about babies. It actually is more interesting than most on-track conversation.
