More fun with tiebreakers. It's too late for it to happen this year, and it's pretty unlikely to ever happen, but still.
2013 NL Central Division
Cubs 90-72 (I know, but it's my scenario. They hold the tiebreaker by best division record over the other two, but that only decides seeding in the mini-tourney to follow)
Cardinals 90-72
Brewers 90-72
Also, Braves 90-72 over in the East. All four teams are tied for both wild-card spots.
Cardinals and Brewers play each other for an initial tiebreaker game, Cardinals win (because Ryan Braun got caught doing steroids again before the game or something).
Cubs travel to St. Louis for the second divisional tiebreaker game, Cubs win and win the division.
Cardinals and Brewers are now both dropped back down into the wild-card, and we have a three-way tiebreaker for two spots with them and the Braves.
Cardinals and Brewers now play each other in the first game of the WC tiebreakers. Cardinals win again, secure a WC spot. Brewers now travel to Atlanta, and win, securing the second wild-card.
Now the Cardinals and Brewers play the actual Wild Card showdown, the third time they've met in these tiebreakers between the regular season and technical postseason. Cardinals win.
Cubs and Cardinals play separate division winners, win, and face each other in the NLCS, for the second time since the season ended.
Substitute any four teams you like, but this sort of potential is awesome.
