2022 Pro Wrestling Thread

Sami vs. Johnny now "anything goes" -- or smoke and mirrors on it being a celeb match that can't be trusted just for wrestling. I'm guessing we'll get some shenanigans with some of the other Jackasses -- possibly Steve-O since he's the other big name on the crew (and so he can get some redemption after being legit choked out by Umaga in his last appearance).

Now that Natalya and Shayna are being thrown into the tag match and Tamina and Dana probably doing 24/7 fun at Mania, that's going to make for one heck of a four-woman Mae Young Battle Royal between Doudrop, Nikki, Shotzi and Xia Li.

Pat McAfee calls USA a "no-name network." That's gotta make their broadcast partner happy.

isnt Johnny Knoxville's gimmick since 1999 more or less taking hardcore match bumps? I think he'll be fine

Looks like there's a Twitter trend going on where people say "Keith Lee looks like the kind of a guy who..." does something understated or subtle. Some of these are pretty funny.

Got suggested this link on YouTube.

Such great advice then -- except now, a little more than six years later, Apollo is stuck with a stereotypical African accent straight out of "Coming to America."

LOL, they start the show with Austin's music. Huge pop. Crowd continues to pop until they realize it's Owens wearing a bald cap.

And now he's taunting the crowd with the "What" chant, and the Chicago crowd is pissed.

Holy shirt. Owens pulled the reverse of when HBK played Bret's music in Montreal. That was glorious.

It's funny that WWE is going through some of the cities where AEW is the biggest (Jax, Chicago) leading up to Mania, and drawing the Cody chants with the flip of a switch.

Even though it's looking more like it'll be a Mania debut for Cody, like the Hardys' return.

Is is more strange that Austin won't make an arena appearance before Mania or Cody?

I find very very strange the answer appears to be neither
