2024-25 NBA running thread

Man, I love the way Westbrook plays. Just total abandon all the time. He's so fun to watch.

Sometimes, though, he should actually stop and think. Those two plays were rookie mistakes.
The layup I thought was fine, especially if he was going to be the one to pull it out and get fouled. He's a 63 percent FT shooter. And he wouldn't have been able to run out the clock by pulling it out (I need to stop saying pull it out…there it is again). So Wolves with their timeout would have still had plenty of time. Obviously could have run some time though and maybe gotten to Jokic who was chugging down.

But it's a shot any NBA player should make though with him and his bricks it somehow wasn't that shocking he botched it.

If you watch last shot again it's hilarious seeing Finch giving Malone the traditional point and say goodbye at the buzzer as he thought it was over and they had lost.

Yeah, I'm guessing it wasn't the coach who lost the locker room.

Morant said after Memphis' win on Thursday that he's "well aware" of the criticism he's faced for making the finger-shooting motions. He said it doesn't bother him.

"I'm kind of used to it," Morant said. "I was pretty much a villain for two years now. Every little thing, if somebody can say something negative about me, it's going to be out there. So, yeah. I don't care no more."
