2025 MLB running thread

Yankess start opening day with their first ever opening day lead off homer. Yankees second day leadoff spots say hold my beer

Probably the first time ever that "Yankees hit three home runs to start the game" is burying the lead.

Thru 2 1/3. Can't tell if this is good or not.

Judge just needs a 3-run homer to complete the home run cycle.

Solo in 1st
Grand slam in 3rd
2-run homer in 4th

Judge just misses No. 4 and bangs one off the wall for an RBI double. Might have one more at-bat if the Yankees don't pull him up 18-6.

Were there two men on base for a chance at the unprecedented cycle?

Interesting stat on teams spending lots of money vs teams not spending lots of money on the roster. Now who created the list is uncertain, but I'll assume there is some validity to the numbers.

No, just a runner on second.
His last at-bat in the eighth inning he flied out to deep left — with a position player pitching — with nobody on. It's 20-7 now, so barring the most miraculous comeback in the history of miraculous comebacks he's going to have to settle for three.
