The "torpedo" bat OKd by MLB. Guessing we'll be seeing a lot more of them across the league, though it could be the Yankees are just off to a hot start in their homer friendly park.

An interesting list. Particularly interesting in that the A's payroll last year was $62m. They made about $200m in profit in their last year in Oakland. Now out of Oakland, they've about doubled the payroll. I don't know what the White Sox excuse is, they could have easily spent big on some short-term deals if they chose to. Miami? The Cubs? Giants have already paid off the stadium, I guess its all about hording cash at this point.
