2025 MLB running thread

Aaron Judge just went deep for his 500th extra-base hit in his 999th MLB game.

That's quite the pace.
At some point next year, he'll pass Frank Howard (382) and establish the record for career HR by a player 6-foot-7 or taller. There just haven't been many baseball players of that height. And he has played CF at that size while mashing the dingers. Wild.

Frank Howard. Everyone knew him as a gentle giant, and yet, the only time I saw him in person, he was tossed in the first inning of Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Orioles. I can still remember this 6-7 crewcut behemoth screaming at the umpire until his face was crimson red.

Ritchie Sexson had 306. Another big guy who could rake. Dave Kingman had 442 but he was only 6-6.

Henderson activated. He homered twice this week in Norfolk, so we'll see how much of an immediate lift this provides. (Oh, he also had three errors in four games at SS.)

Dodgers @ Phillies tonight.
And Philly comes out wearing those idiotic softball uniforms.
Whoever came up with those should be tarred and feathered.

Mariners piling up a week's worth of runs in today's game at San Francisco. Unfortunately the Giants also have eight runs in what is basically a bullpen game for both teams.
