30 for 30 running thread

Well, since there is usually only a week or so overlap between the start of the NBA season and the end of the World Series, there probably aren't that many days that would qualify, especially when you consider the NFL only plays (at most) 3 days a week.

That was the point. There aren't many days when the Big 4 are all playing. Which of those days was the best?

Nothing stands out. It's further complicated by the fact that baseball in particular has started to re-arrange its postseason schedule so it DOESN'T play on the same day as the NFL.

Example ...

October 30, 2016

* Cubs beat the Indians 3-2 in a do-or-die Game 5 of the World Series

* Derek Carr becomes the first Raider to throw for 500 yards, including winning pash in OT, as Oakland beats Tampa Bay for first 6-2 start in 15 years

* Insert NHL here

* Insert NBA here

It's not that hard. There may not be any earth-shattering day but it's the type of stuff ESPN likes to do to see if there was one.

Well if the second NHL is supposed to be NFL, there were no games that day.

No NFL, but:

First U.S. game in '94 World Cup, hosted by U.S.
Arnold Palmer's final U.S. Open round.
New York Rangers celebrate first Stanley Cup in 54 years with tickertape parade.
Game 5 of the NBA finals.
The white Ford Bronco.
That's a big day.

I know Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura did some games but wasn't Matt Vasgersian a PBP guy on XFL games or am I imagining that?

He was. In the first televised game, he famously yelled out "sloppy seconds!" after a tipped-ball touchdown pash.
