A New Beer Thread

Allagash White, on tap, at a local pizza and pasta place. And douchebags are still ordering Coors Light in a bottle.

Uninformed people are not all douchebags...just idiots.
Now, if you go and spout off about how they should stop drinking their "swill" (which it is), then you get to be the douchebag!

BTW, for being such a beer snob and dark beer fan...I actually enjoy Sam Adam's new Porchrocker shandy.

This is old news that is getting new life: Dark Horse Brewing in Michigan turned down a chance to be in a Nickleback video because the brewer hates their music.

Good job brother! Gotta go pick me up some Dark Horse brews in support!

Went to Wisconsin for work last weekend. My stated goal was to make it through the weekend without EVER drinking a beer I'd had before. I'll have to go through my Facebook feed to remember all of them, but here goes:

Thursday afternoon: New Glarus Spotted Cow at a friend's house. Easily my favorite of the weekend, and it was in a bottle. Would LOVE to try it on draft.
Thursday evening: Haacker Pschor and Point Brewery Nude Beach Wheat at Saz's Round Bar in Milwaukee.
Friday evening: Schlitz at Heileman's Tavern in West Bend. It was literally the only beer they had that I had not had. The rest of the night was alcohol. :D
Saturday night: New Glarus Two Women and Capital Brewery Island Wheat at Siebken's Tavern, then Baaad Boy Black Wheat and Sprecher Amber at the Brown Baer, which would TOTALLY be my local joint if I ever get to live in Elkhart Lake.
Sunday pre-flight: Leinenkugel's Red Amber. So freaking good.

Side note: Fell totally in love with Wisconsin. It's AMAZING. You should all go there if you haven't.

You should have given New Glarus Wisconsin Belgian Red a try. It's regarded by many to be the best non-Lambic fruit beer in the world.

Tried the Dogfish Head Festina Peche and really enjoyed it.

I hate this beer more than anything I've ever drank in all my life. I have no idea why. Just ... no peach flavor. Tastes like pish, only more bitter.

And Verse: I didn't see the Belgian Red.

You know, it might be seasonal now that I think about it. I'm not much of a fruit beer fan, so I don't go seeking them, but New Glarus' reputation precedes it. If I'm ever in Wisconsin, it's a priority stop.

Green Flash West Coast IPA- Excellent, great recommendation from a really nice bartendress at The Drafting Room, Exton, Pa.

Almost had this Monday before going to a concert. Had a Mirror Pond Pale Ale (DESCHUUUUUTES) instead. They're 3-3, but that review for Green Flash has me thinking I made the wrong choice

So, you are saying you didn't like it? I thought if anything, the peach flavor was a little too strong.
