It's creepier than that. It's a three family home, so his is the only door on the second floor landing of the staircase, and mine's at the top of the staircase. So somehow he left his apartment, walked up to my door, put the note in the doorjamb thing, and then left. Plus, I'm now creeped out every time I go home and walk past his apartment.

Swear on my life this is true, everyone I tell it to thinks it is such BS because it is bizarre but here goes:

When I was living at my old place, I knew a guy who messed around with a girl in the building, he lived on the second floor, she on the first. When things ended badly, she would listen for him to walk by and go out and bother him when he came home. Got to the point where he parked his car blocks away and scaled up the rain gutters to his back porch door to avoid her, this went on for like three months before he left for deployment.
