ACLU sues Indiana town for cross on top of Christmas tree display

Maybe this little town was simply trying to make a metaphor about the history of the early Church? You know, how it took a pagan winter festival and rammed a cross right down on top of it, claiming it as their own?

Following up DaughterQuant's concert last night with some sage advice for those of you who still have little kids around: If some day your kid has a choice between singing and the orchestra, for God's sake push for the orchestra. If your kid chooses the singing path, you're going to find yourself in an auditorium full of the parents/grandparents of the other singers, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a more retched hive of scum and villainy.

Flip side of the coin: There's a slim chance you'll see some pop star years before they become one.

Just ask their parents.
