Best scenes/skits - SNL history

How about the Bab's uvula sketch

"It'll behoove ya to take care of your uvula."

CHASE: Knock knock
RADNER: Who's there?
CHASE: Babs' uvula
RADNER: Babs' uvula who?
CHASE: I don't know, Babs.

Will Ferrell's VH1 Storytellers on Neil Diamond is my all-time favorite Ferrell sketch.

Since no one has mentioned it yet, I was always a fan of "Tales of Ribaldry" with Lovitz as the hostess Evelyn Quinn.

And, sportsgopher, I would definitely have to include Hanks on the list of all-time hosts. The show he hosted in late '88 had three great skits in that I've seen listed (listed a couple of them myself) on this thread: Mr. Short-Term Memory; the 88 debate; and Jew, Not a Jew.

... but I do know this.

Massive head wound Harry
Great one!

Back in those early '90s days, I would tape SNL and be out on Saturday night. The gang from the bar would then come back to my apartment after bar time for scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and SNL. I laughed so hard at Massive Headwound Harry that one of the girls eventually bought me one of those little troll dolls with red hair because with the bad red glue job on its little head she said it looked just like Massive Headwound Harry. It's a refrigerator magnet and it's still on my refrigerator as we speak.

And I still have that on tape, too.

That's a great story, tone

Thanks, CI. Those were great times. Oh, to be young again.

One of my favorites -- both times it ran -- was the Dysfunctional Family.

Ferrell as husband, Gasteyer as wife. The daughter was Sarah Michelle Gellar the first time; the second time, it was Poehler as the daughter and Gwyneth Paltrow as her friend.

"I ... I ... I ... drive a DODGE STRATUS!!"

And Paltrow punctuating a point near the end of that one by singing in a falsetto: "BEE-OTTTCCCH!!"

... and, of course, deck In A Box.
