Breaking news: Less breaking news on CNN

Digital will save us!!!!

It won't. These days, I'll flip on the news, spend 30 seconds to find out if the world is on the brink of ending (no matter what the chyron says) and if not go about my day.

Oddly enough, received "Breaking News Alert" from CNN on my phone: "Palace releases photo of Prince Louis on his sixth birthday."

+1, although I use top-of-the-hour radio.
There is something wrong with anyone who watches more than an hour of any of the 24-hour shirt-show channels during any given day.

I don't watch cable news. If the breaking news is big enough, it'll be on the broadcast networks. It seldom is big enough. I can also go to the bar if I want to watch arguments based on no facts, which is CNN's specialty. Same with ESPN. If it's a game, I'll watch. Otherwise, I'm sick of the forking takes industry, which i worked in for 30 years.
