Bruce Feldman is a class act, a professional who works hard and has great contacts in CFB. ESPN gave him permission to work on the book with Leach.
Craig James is a sleazy over-grown frat boy who is sadly mistaken because he thinks he's the smartest guy in the room (he's angling to run for the Texas Legislature). He's the kind of ex-jock the ESPN suits love to sniff.
Mike Leach is a nut job who is an offensive idiot savant. He is also the kind of guy who if you wrong him, he is gonna go medieval on your ass. He's suing Texas Tech and ESPN. Until both are settled, he'll be toxic for any college jobs.
James and Leach are a couple of a-holes who deserve each other. ESPN is a bunch of two-faced enablers who are only concerned about "talent" and "inventory." Bruce Feldman (apparently) did nothing wrong and got caught in the middle of that three-way shirt storm.

And none of this might have happened if Craig James no-talent, self-entitled gash of a son didn't think he was somehow better than he was, which was a no-talent walkon.
For ESPN to do this and Erin James still hawking sneakers is beyond the pale. Is it the difference between being Bruce Feldman the hard-working writer and Erin James the hair-flipping blonde?

just read a blog on this... the first person who comes up with an effective way the WWL can be hgurt with a boycott or something that is an effective plan to push them into backtracking wins the SportsJournalists.com Berman Kneecap pot... heck, we haven't used it anyway....

Without knowing all the facts, ESPN looks terrible here. Just terrible.

It looks like they gave him permission, then were outraged when they read the contents of the book. They then suspend him.

deck move that shows just how thin-skinned they are. And go back through all my posts--I RARELY rip ESPN.

ESPN doesn't deserve Bruce Feldman.
