Saw this in passing, but now I'm riveted by it.

Apparently there was a little scuffle in the Iowa-SE Louisiana basketball game the other day, and the assistant SID for men's basketball for SE Louisiana took to Twitter to air his grievances about it. Couple of screenshots about it are below.

Of course, Iowa Twitter - including the players involved - grabbed onto it like a dog with a bone.

Looks like today, the SID person's Twitter account has been deleted, and his bio on the school's website has been removed.

Anyone in Louisiana have any knowledge? Seems like a silly reason to spout on social media and put your job/career in jeopardy.

So you're the assistant SID, acting as if you're a member of the team? Newsflash: you're not.

I read an article about him, and it talked about his past jobs. According to the timeline there, at one point he was sports editor of a daily paper while also doing radio on a local college's football, basketball, baseball and softball teams.

For what it's worth, this assistant SID is back on the staff roster at SE Louisiana, so it appears that he did not get fired.
