I've got a keeper list due Friday, a daily money league on Yahoo. We can keep up to five players. We must keep at least one pitcher and at least one hitter. I will be picking third because two of the teams ahead of me are keeping players that cost them their first-round pick (Jose Ramirez and Corbin Carroll). Picking that high, I'll probably be going for a bat. I'm trying to settle on my last couple of spots.
By the way, players kept last year or drafted cost two rounds higher than their price in 2023. Players who were undrafted cost a 12th-round pick.
Here's my list with the guys I see as locks in bold.
Julio Rodriguez 14
Jesus Luzardo 19
Gleyber Torres 17
Riley Greene 22
Merrill Kelly 16
Ketel Marte 20
Cristian Walker 8
Nolan Jones 12
I like Greene for a 22nd-round pick, but that locks up two outfield spots. I do have two utility spots, so that's not awful. We don't have a middle infield spot, so I'm not sure keeping both Torres and Marte is a good idea.
At the moment, I'm leaning toward Greene and Jones. Jones is eligible at first base as well as the outfield in Yahoo leagues.
Thoughts?
Greene & Jones make sense. I'm surprised you like Gleyber that much better than Marte. I haven't done a deep dive, but intuitively that doesn't feel right, though that might be the frustrated Yankees fan in me talking.
Total miss on my copy and paste at the top. Would not skip Carroll, especially for a pitcher.Wow. No Carrol? Yes Bibee?

In a heartbeat.Looking for advice. Getting ready for my dynasty season and I don't have a 3B. Offered Framber Valdez ($35) to a guy for Gunnar Henderson ($5). He didn't like Framber's salary (which makes him a 1-year rental) and countered with Zac Gallen ($12). I'd like to hold on to a young, cheap pitcher, so I countered with Pablo Lopez ($29 - good for two years of control at reasonable salary).
ashuming he rejects that, would you make the Henderson for Gallen deal? I know where I'm leaning, but wanted to bounce it off the group.

That was where I was leaning. The only real hesitation is that it probably means losing Gallen plus Valdez or Lopez since I need to shed salary.I agree with Guy. I'd take Henderson for Gallen, too.
I don't want parity, I want to DOMINATELook upon it as achieving a degree of parity in the league overall. Because you would have taken him to the cleaners on that deal.![]()
