Listening to Sirius online........have it on Classic Rewind.......and on comes Cult of Personality by Living Colour. I've always liked the song......I normally hear Floyd, Zep, Beatles, Clapton......all the old stuff like that......

I had to do a doublecheck just to make sure I didn't switch channels.......

Beatles and Zeppelin are more Classic Vinyl. Don't think I've ever heard the Beatles on Rewind.

Cult of Personality came out in 1988, which puts it in the Rewind timeframe, even if at the upper edge. You hear a lot of Appetite for Destruction on Rewind and that came out just a year earlier.

I have an almost irrational hatred for GNR and Red Hot Chili Peppers......so that would make sense.

I'm the cult of personality.

Take it to the "Things That Make You Feel Old" thread.

I'm not one of you wealthy Sirius radio people, but 'classic rock' format on regular radio is unlistenable.
A ot of Motley Crue, the Scorpions, an even stranger abundance of Billy Squier - that's what classic rock radio has become.
And it sucks, just as it did when it was new music.

I've really got nothing against Billy Squier, but those songs are better as a surprise once every five to 10 years. When you're getting Squier multiple times in a month on a station you listen to about 20 minutes per month, that's too much Squier.

I've got nothing against Billy Squier except the fact he sucks donkey deck.

The world last great rock critics, Beavis and Butt-Head, correctly pointed out that about 90 percent of Billy Squier songs were about whackin it.

When I had it, I loved it. XM was a great bridge technology to the age of Pandora and Spotify (and TuneIn for my sportsball needs.)

There are some great songs about self-gratification:
'I Touch Myself' - Divinyls
'Daning with Myself' - Billy Idol
'Orgasm Addict' - Buzzcocks
'Rosie' - Jackson Browne
'My Dingaling' - Chuck Berry
'Turning Japanese' - The Vapors
'Pictures of Lily' - the Who
