2) thinks comedy central roasts really matter--would anybody have even noticed people like Lampanelli, Jeselnik and Gottfried in recent years if not for their appearances on those silly roasts? Hate to break it to ya, Chef, but the regulars on those roasts do not represent today's best as much as they do today's most desperate for work.

Upon a second review, I've noticed that all of choices seem to be based upon two basic misapprehensions. He either:
1) thinks it's still the 1980s--see Gottfried, Leno, Letterman, Garrett, Seinfeld (although that would be a shirtty fivesome even by the best of 80s standards); or
2) thinks comedy central roasts really matter--would anybody have even noticed people like Lampanelli, Jeselnik and Gottfried in recent years if not for their appearances on those silly roasts? Ron White is the only choice up there that can stand on his own as both being one TODAY's hottest acts and not a roast specialist.
