Gambling Thread

Had 5 bets out today on the Florida Derby and Arkansas Derby. Hit on 3 of them, and one bet will come back on a site offer because my horse to win ran second.
Hit $20.50 on a .10 superfecta at Oaklawn.
Did okay at Florida, but site couldn't verify my state for Arkansas Derby so no bets. That worked out well though as Secretariat/Sham broke out for the first half of that race, only both horses tired out today, unlike Belmont.

I hit the super in the Arkansas because the first four horses were clearly better than the rest of the field.

A successful superfecta bet brings guaranteed victory to the player. The website problem prevented you from placing bets on Arkansas which ended up being a fortunate event considering the racing outcome.

Gambled some during the Mississippi trip. Did well for the most part on craps, save for the one table where there was a "dice is ice" guy openly rooting for his don't pass line bets. fork that shirt. Blackjack was a disaster until we caught a heater around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday. Managed to cut my losses in half with that run. A lot of fun. Though if the Gulf Coast is Mississippi's Vegas, Tunica is definitely Mississippi's Laughlin, or worse. Drinks are still free there, and strong, so no complaints.

I hate that some states - most notably for me, NC - won't even let you log in to horse racing sites. I use Twin Spires when in Tennessee. No problem. In both states, you can sports bet JV Pakistani synchronized yak dancing, but they won't let you bet horse racing.

Drinks are not free at the casino on the Ohio River across from Louisville. I went there once while on Churchill Downs weekend, ordered a beer, told the lady "thanks" and she said "That'll be $4." WTH.

DC is like that. I can't even bet on horses online when I try to register in states where it's legal. As soon as I put DC in as my home state it says it's not allowed. Profoundly dumb.
