That being said, he is retiring from "SI magazine writing," which means maybe he'll write books or who knows what else.

Agree 100 percent with this.

The guy is 60 years old and has written for SI for like 30 years. In what way is it in the least bit strange that he would walk away at this point? It would be strange if he didn't.
