Head of media relations at Oregon State

Doesn't say a thing about needing to work nights and weekends ... hmmm.
 
It's for the university, not the SID job. I can say this. It's a great community to live in - the pay seems a bit low for such a critical job - you may be unimpressed with the house you'd live in for that kind of bread. The housing market is brutal. You may need to commute in.

I worked in university media relations and of course every school is different with these gigs and titles but the phrase "serving as a spokesperson as needed" made me wonder if this isn't the absolute top-dog job like university spokesperson/VP of media relations/etc. Which is the difference between having carefree weekends and being on call 24/7.

Yes. At that salary, I doubt this is the top gig. Also: The headhunter's ad does not specify that this is a cabinet-level position.
