If Shefter paraphraseď or reported the info without publishing the actual records I'd be more inclined to side with him. Putting the raw record out there seems over the line and unnecessary. No idea if the law makes that distinction or not.

I think one fair punishment would be to publicize ALL of Schefter's medical records, including how many colonoscopies he's had, with photos.

We had something similar to this a few years ago. A Toronto defenceman -- Mark Fraser -- was hit in the forehead by a shot and rushed to hospital. His CT scan leaked.

I know a couple people who work at the hospital. They said the fallout was brutal...total witch hunt. No one was specifically fired, but there were some transfers that seemed suspicious. No lawsuit as far as I know, though.
