Job Opportunity Dilemma: Love Location or Love Cash. WWYD?

I am way late to the party, but if you love where you presently live, don't sell your house. Move back in 10 years or when you're ready to get out of the business. Sounds as if the cost of living is cheaper at your new gig and pays more. That's a good combination.

I lived in North Nowhere for almost nine years and got to like it. Your new locale may surprise you; I know it's cliche but there are good people and good things to do everywhere, if you go into it with a great attitude.

The new place will be great. It is, by far, the largest city I will have ever worked in. Just not the largest TV market.

Sorry to disappoint on the gamer.

Went surprisingly well. Boss was very understanding and also apologetic for how everything went down here.

Sounds like I'll be here for all two months and I'm good with that. Mostly because I don't really care about the stress of the job any further.

Like, what are they gonna do, fire you?

Congrats, ex.

Senioritis is go! There's nothing like playing out a notice at work like it was the fourth quarter of the old Blue-Gray Game.

The bizarre part. Today was the first time in my two years here that I was calm, happy, relaxed.

No worrying about the workload. Just get through it and go home. All the mistakes? Meh. Got a better to go to soon.
Given the "dead man walking" notion introduced earlier, perhaps he was relieved by your news as well?
Sounds like you have played this perfectly.

Maybe only to get my salary off the books. There's still some contract wrangling to work through but I just want it to end. I'll spend these last two months outside as much as I can, going to my favorite sports and doing my research for the next place.
