I just wish some company would issue a statement that says something like, "This isn't easy and doesn't come at a good time. No time is good for layoffs. We know that. But we have to make our numbers."

Just be honest. But, I know, with all the bullshirt mumbo jumbo and legal stuff they spew, they won't do that.
