Love that book.I recommend it all the time, and I'll do so again - "I Want My MTV" is a great oral history on the formation of the network, and evolution of the music video. In the span of like 10 years, MTV went from having to beg executives and anyone with videos to air them; to getting payola for said videos; to completely phasing them out as the audience for them declined, and the audience for scripted and then reality TV increased.
