Anyone ever hear Grayson Capps? Never heard of the guy until a couple of days ago, when my Yahoo station started playing him every hour. Really strong singer-songwriter stuff. Song playing right now titled "Mermaid." Bad jam.

anyone who went to college in the south in the late 80s-early 90s ever get nostalgic for the connells or drivin' n cryin'? (or the north, for that matter, tho it was really hard to ignore them in the south.) been on a kick lately where i've been listening to a lot of them. ah, those were the days.

I still have Fly Me Courageous and from time to time I do listen to the entire album. I'm not from the south either. I did buy one of DNC's other albums and it just didn't have the same appeal, but FMC is a really good album.

Yes, the Silversun Pickups and The Hold Steady are both good albums. I'm also excited for the new Shins CD, which comes out Jan. 23. A lot of people whose musical tastes I respect don't care for The Shins, but I effin love 'em.
