New York Times Tops 10 Million Subscriptions as Profit Soars

We have the Sunday New York Times delivered.

It wasn't in our driveway this morning. I got an email that said it will be delivered tomorrow. The email said the reason for the delay is "logistics error."

That's a seemingly succinct, yet vague, term.

Next time someone asks me why I'm late to a meeting, I'll just matter-of-factly mutter, "logistics error" and leave it at that.

The day delay doesn't really bother me, I just like to hold newsprint in my tiny dinosaur hands.

One of the greatest thrills of a career is seeing your published story about four feet above the ripe urinal cakes of a pub restroom.

When I get down I let that memory wash over me and it all just feels right.

But is it still "news" one day later?

I get most of my "news" online and I actually prefer to do Times puzzles online. There's a lot more than breaking news in the Sunday Times. I enjoy the adventure of wandering through the pages and pausing where I find something. Online isn't the same sort of tactile experience. I'm willing to pay a little for that.
