NYT pausing Sports & Travel print sections

Seemed inevitable. I'm not interested in reading stories about life in quarantine, though. Not yet anyway.

Somewhat misleading on Sports. It won't be it's own section on Sundays but part of the main section. Still a section on Mondays. And it was only a standalone section on Sundays and Mondays before this.

But yeah, not surprising at all at this point to allocate pages differently.

People still want sports stories. There are plenty of sports stories to be written by the New York Times. Dumb to scale back sports staff and sports story assignments. Fallout from this will be copycat suits dumping sports at their papers to shed some more salary.

Down here in Podunk, quite a few smaller and mid-sized dailies have either scaled down or scrapped their entertainment sections, too.

Since those sections live on live event and restaurant ads, I can see why.

I'm tired of "Tips on how to work from home more efficiently"

I need a second monitor to work more efficiently. Company won't let me have one of the dozen or so unused monitors sitting on shelves or on the empty desks of former employees. So fork 'em. I'll continue to work inefficiently.

Inexcusable of the company. Their fear of you ultimately getting laid off and keeping the monitor is preventing you from doing the best possible job for the company. This.Is.Shameful.
