Mrs. C and I have what has to be the largest collection of VHS tapes that still exists in the world.

I've lugged a VHS recorder/player and tapes along on my last two moves "just in case" I want to watch something I have on tape. Can't remember the last time I watched one though.

This was Madden for those of us of a certain vintage.

We used to play this in the garage with the lights off so it was easier to see the display.

Kicked the crap out of the Mattel version because you could pass. I can still hear the touchdown song in my head.

Records store junkies might remember this:

I worked at a used CD store for three years in the 90s. This thing was a bible. My boyfriend at the time worked in a new CD store, and he had a better version, I was constantly calling him for updates.

Speaking of the used CD store, once a girl came in and asked if we had any Jackson 5. I said maybe, on record. She looked at me as if I had three heads, and this was 15 years ago.

Funny. I found my old basketball version in a box of junk a few months back. It's currently my crapper distraction. Which made me buy one of these for the first time in about a decade.

There's an app so you can play that on your iPhone/iPad Touch. They perfectly replicated the look of the buttons and the shirtty sound effects.

I had a younger co-worker ask me what flooding a car meant. I realized he'd never driven a car with a carburator.

You had to have the green Mattel, which had passing.
Way better than Coleco.

If I had one of those in the bathroom, I'd probably never get off the toilet.

I showed my six year old niece an Etch-A-Sketch last year and she asked me if it had Angry Birds on it.
