Paging Frank Ridgeway: Shirt and tie without a jacket?

Chasing fashion trends seems silly to me, too.
I am no example of sartorial splendor, but the classic elements of men's style don't lose relevance.

Yes.
That's what dudes once said about the pocketwatch and one-piece longjohns.

To each their own. I'm sure things are different in your urban setting.
Just chiming in with my opinion. As I said, nobody I know is coming to me for fashion advice.

Just remember there's nothing manly about wearing argyle and you should be cool.
Come to me with any future questions.
I'll get ya in good shape, guy.

Just make sure they're covered up.
Nice clean hem of trousers.
Very important.

If anyone needs me I'll be at the Etro trunk show in Milan.

Not to hijack this thread into a women's fashion discussion, but I tried on an Etro dress two weeks ago that looked better on me than anything else I've ever worn. Except it was $1,500 and I just cannot justify spending that

What you've got to do is sell a few pieces of your older, nicer clothes so that you can get in with the big online haute couture traders. Then find someone who wore the dress once and therefore has no need for it, and buy it off her for $500. That's pro shopping. But you'll probably just screw it up by picking the wrong earrings. What is appropriate attire for my humanitarian efforts such as taking kids to the planetarium?

A sack suit should still fit correctly. They just don't have darts, less shoulder padding to give a more natural profile, and have lower shoulder opening.

I have no real idea what this means, except for the shoulder padding.
But I do know never to wear socks with ducks on them. Or golf clubs, puppies, etc.
