Patrick Reed suing AP, Fox, NY Post

And had them thrown out of Pinehurst while he played in a U.S. Open there. Stole from his teammates in college. Improved his lie in a bunker (seen close-up on TV). He's a real sweetie.

To steal a line from Bob Verdi, "You could call this a knee-jerk reaction, but everyone knows Mr. Reed is not a knee."
I grew up with a guy named Knee who was anything but a jerk, and went on to be a considerate lawyer from Duke.

When I was covering majors, I used to like to ask the old-timers if an up-and-coming player reminded them of anyone. For example, Spieth reminded guys of Hogan, Rory of Snead, etc.

When Patrick Reed was closing out the 2018 Masters, I asked one of the writers who had been around for decades if Reed reminded him of anyone.

"Yeah," he said. "A fat ashhole."

What the hell. Reed can't sue him now. It was Jenkins.
