The Salt Lake Tribune, a regular APSE Top 10 award winner for daily and Sunday sports sections, is seeking a talented, creative and versatile reporter to cover Real Salt Lake, the Utah Royals and lend a hand with our prep sports coverage.

The candidate must exhibit strong narrative writing skills, meet tight deadlines, break news whenever it happens and possess an ability to find compelling enterprise subjects. The reporter must also have strong multimedia and social media skills and an ability to tell stories on different platforms.

Some travel will be involved with the soccer assignment. Experience at a daily newspaper is preferred. Salary is negotiable. Applicants should send a resume, references and recent clips to: Matt Canham, senior managing editor, at mcanham@sltrib.com.

Worth mentioning that this paper recently laid off 1/3 of its staff and four of the remaining seven sports reporters jumped ship for other jobs.

I applied for this position and just received an email saying they've filled it.
