RIP CNN+

I didn't see what it added to the mother ship. OK Chris Wallace (would he be good in Cuomo's spot?), but did anyone want to see more Wolf Blitzer, or Reliable Sources Daily?

Just plain sad. That's all.

It's also the beginning of a massive overhaul at CNN.

I saw a mention yesterday about how CNN's 1991-type war coverage in Ukraine was outstanding but was being shown almost exclusively on CNN+ and not the mothership, which was instead "liveblogging whatever Fox News outrage was happening at the time..."

CNN+ gets to join CNN/SI and some stillborn $80 million "lifestyle and fitness channel" that never even made it past production in the Turner graveyard, not including all the sports websites they cashed out of.

Been there, got the Braves ticket vouchers.

Headline News as well.
At least CNN/SI lasted the better part of a decade, IIRC.

Exactly. I have no idea how well the Fox News OTT service does, but there are true believers who can't get enough of Tucker Carlson without a tie on. No one feels that strongly about CNN to pay more for the service.

It's not Tucker, it's the gratuitous booty and legs.
