It's a deck move by the Rangers, though there is a logistical problem that folks have purchased tickets for that home stand.

If it was a weekend series, that'd be one thing, but the one later this month is a Mon-Wed series. Smart thing to do would be to play in ... ARLINGTON... then see what happens in a couple of weeks. Might have wound up playing here again anyway.
I wonder if perhaps there was a union issue here ... like maybe the players have to sign off or something if there's that major a change ... seems like an awful lotta PR downside for very little upside.
If the union is worried about that while Astros fans are honing their dog paddle moves, like the man said, deck move.
There's not even a big promotional date they're protecting on their schedule, unless dollar hot dog day counts.
