Running 2022-23 NCAA Basketball Thread

That would be too bad. Grew up on the WCC, a great little basketball conference made up of Catholic schools (Pepperdine excepted) up and down the west coast. A friend's brother played with John Stockton for the Zags.

What's in it for Gonzaga? It has proven it can contend for national titles in the junior varsity WCC. It delivers the tournament units as it progressively marches through the bracket. It's still lacking a national title, but the tourney is a crap shoot. It's not like it gets bounced in the Sweet 16 each year just because it's in the WCC.

a lot more money??

I can't imagine Gonzaga falling off a cliff, but when I covered that league, it was a doormat. The Zags lost in the first round of the conference tournament something like the first 7 years they had it.

Few is a stumbling drunk when they go 35-4 every year.
Imagine what he’s like at 26-10 in n the B12?

Hey, if you had to hear all the political garbage spouted out in North Idaho, you’d drink heavily, too!

Seriously though, if Gonzaga is going to split from the WCC, the Big East is a better fit than the Big 12.
