Running 2022-23 NCAA Basketball Thread

UAB 45 - Buffalo 39 at the half. Barstool Sports tourney in Philly. You can get it live at Barstool sports.com.

UAB's backcourt, Jelly Walker and Eric Gaines, are fun to watch. Good game even if it's Barstool.

ACC looking like last year: No depth.
FSU is 0-2, having lost to Stetson and UCF.
Dabo U lost to South Carolina.
Homestanding Pitt loses to West Virginia by 25. Capel doesn't make it to Valentine's Day.
NC State -- I hear it's their year -- struggles to beat Campbell.
At the top of the heap, UNC, Duke and Virginia look good.

Said who?

Picked to finish 10th in the ACC. Under no delusions here.

More curious to see how Wes Moore replaces four starters – including an effective 6-foot-5 center – on the women's side.

Pack might get one of the big guys once.
Saw on Twitter where one observer speculated that University-6 will be OK because they have so much company on the list of bad ACC teams. Then the Cardinals went out and lost to Wright State, following up the season debut L to Bellarmine.
Pack should be fine against University-6.

Maybe. But NCSU was last in the ACC last season. No such thing as a gimme when looking up from the basement.

Emoni Bates looked like the real deal with 30 points as Eastern Michigan pushed Michigan to the wire in an 88-83 shootout at Pizza Pizza Arena Friday night. EMU will be a MAC factor if they can keep that up.

I think Eastern will win the MAC. That's a level of player unseen in the league since Wally/Trent/Bonzi era.

You know you grew up in middle Tennessee when you go out of your way to track down the stream of Belmont-Lipscomb (Battle of the Boulevard!) on a nondescript Monday night.
