Running license plate thread

In Wisconsin we've had a problem with the paint peeling off of license plates to the point where they are illegible. Part of the issue is that the state has put off replacing plates -- my wife just got a new plate that replaced one issued in 1997 -- but newer plates are actually worse. I've seen plates that were 90% shorn of paint. Moreover, if police pull you over, they will cite you for having an illegible license plate.
I joke that the problem is low worker morale at the license plate factory. A friend took a sharpie to her license plate to darken the numbers so she didn't have to shell out $8 for a replacement set.

Indiana plates are similarly lousy with the screen-printing or however they do them. Whatever happened to hammered-out plates made in prisons?

Costs money. Enshipification is everywhere.
Don't cost nothing if prison labor is used. They might get 15 cents an hour for a pack of smokes in the commissary every couple of weeks.

Privatization of government to own the libs is slitting cons' throats and I'm here for it.

I was pulling into a parking space today and someone else was pulling out, so I sadly could not get my phone out in time to take a picture of it. But a guy in a big SUV, who I ashume has a business selling fancy wheels and tires, had a personalized license plate that said "RIMJOBS"

Did he go in through the back door? Asking for a friend boots.
