It was Griffey who threw A-Rod out from right. But it was Cole Hamels, the all-merciful who allowed the ball to go through the infield and further allow Griffey to get some credit for the play.

Somehow I don't think that dugout interview with Bonds will rate up there with Jim Gray's questioning of Pete Rose at the ASG when the All-Century team was announced. How to answer the, admittedly awkwardly phrased, question about when you're planning on breaking the record Barry... he just started talking about the one he almost hit the previous at bat???
