I've already run it by Mrs. BYM2 and I'm in. I can drive down from Harrisburg and take the Metro from Shady Grove. Anyone else plans on traveling this way hit me up and we can possibly meet up.

So where are we staying, and how easy or hard will it be to get to when I'm driving in.

Also, afterward I'm going to drive up to the Northeast because that's the one area I haven't visited. I think I'll post a thread in Sports and News for suggestions.

I think we'd settled on something in crystal city. I have you on the emails, don't I? I can't keep all the handles and names straight, to be honest.

we need to nail that part down this week so I can plan a couple of Friday night bars in the area.

OK. I'm officially making the call. SJ outing in DC will be 9-11 AUG, with a game vs. the Angels on 10 AUG.

If you want in, send me a PM.

I was still in the running until last week, when the thyroid surgeon set my partial thyroidectomy for Aug. 2. AND on top of that, the dermatologist just called this afternoon and the mole on my neck is superficial spreading melanoma, so I get that done on the other side of my neck in two weeks.

So ... SUGAR. You all have fun and I wish I was there instead.

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that. Hope the surgeries are as easy as possible, everything is good and you're back to normal as soon as possible.
