This episode features Charles Winchester, so that had to be a different one.

My dad told me that when he was stationed in Germany during the Korean War, he would do what Frank did and win a lot of bets.

The Frank Burns episode you are thinking of is Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind. The A plot is Hawkeye being temporarily blinded by an explosion while trying to fix the stove in the nurses' tent.

I think "Dinner Party" and "Monorail" (Simpsons) are my two favorite pieces of television writing.

"Dinner Party" was as close as the American version of The Office got to the cringe of the UK version without crossing the "so uncomfortable it's unbearable" line (crossed by "Scott's Tots" episode, which I cannot watch again.) It's note for note perfect.

My daughters watch The Office over and over and my eldest refuses to watch Scott's Tots a second time because it makes her so uncomfortable.

I remember now. Somehow being blind and having to rely on his other senses helps him catch Frank.

Grounded For Life, I Think We're Alone Now episode.
"Why are they so mean in Legally Blonde 2?"
"I don't know, honey, they must not have seen the first Legally Blonde."
Loved GFL. Donal Logue had been a favorite of mine since his genius Jimmy the Cabdriver spots on MTV.

My favorite bit on GFL: Logue's sleazy brother films a porno at their house and the mother tells her son that his uncle filmed "a bad movie" at their house.

The kid goes "what, like Bicentennial Man?"
