"Pumped Up Kicks" with Foster The People was one of my highlights of this season. They may well be a one-hit wonder, but I absolutely love that song.

Loved that song too, until I realized it was about a depressed loner shooting up a school ala Columbine. And ever since, I can't get the catchy tune out of my head even though I hate it more than any song I've heard in years.

I haven't watched in ages but tuned in tonight to see if they "touched" Penn State. I mean, how do you mock child rape?
But they did, with even the devil being horrified, and I admit it made me laugh.

That was absolutely hilarious.

And am I the only one who looks at Emma Stone and sees Lindsay Lohan circa 2004? A very pretty and very talented redhead with a very bright future? Let's hope she has better parents and less of a taste for hard drugs and complete self-destruction than Lohan. And that she never thinks of starring in "I Know Who Killed Me II: Now I REALLY Know."

I see what Lindsay Lohan could have been if she'd kept her life together. I don't think Stone has anything to worry about. She's already done about 100X more than Lohan ever did.

Oh yeah, SNL sucked again last night. Although Sudeikis as the devil made me laugh.

Again. Where the heck is Jay Pharoah?

That song was cool and catchy on AAA radio about three months ago before it blew up.

Now you can't escape it on any radio format: modern rock, pop, even AC. It's the "Boom Boom Pow" of 2011. Stop. Playing. It. >:(

On the good side, I'm glad to see that Florence + The Machine are on next week.

We're getting to the point where the question might have to be "What the heck is wrong with Jay Pharaoh?"

I mean, the guy has to get skits on the air. He's got to get the writers writing for him. That's obviously not getting done.

My mom told me last week that she wanted me to find a song for her, then she started singing "all the other kids" and started humming.

That pretty much told me the song was dead in the water. :D

Chris Rock had the same problem.

The Devil and Penn State was flat-out hilarious.

And I laughed at the "Secret Word" bit — even though they've done it to death and features the very annoying Wiig — because of Stone saying she was disqualified from the beauty pageant because "the judges said they could see my puss."

I think the show could surge upward if they got rid of Armisen and Wiig and writers had to find new performers to focus on.

I think that's the show's biggest problem. The writers all want to be Adam McKay and are looking for the next Will Ferrell to align themselves with.

I'm stunned that given their film success that Sudeikis and Wiig came back.

Wiig will be a movie star. She's a lot better in movies than she is on SNL.
