Win: Have Big Bird on Weekend Update.
Fail: Have him do nothing but tell a stupid-assed joke for third-graders.

Dude, he's still Big Bird. They can't have Big Bird get on TV and talk shirt.

Thought Pharoah did a much better Obama tonight. Probably helped having a live debate to work off tonight. Thought the episode overall was fairly strong.

I'm watching Armisen dry-hump Daniel Craig at the moment.

I'm having a tough time agreeing.

It's never good to see that you need to run a spoof commercial from the season opener when you're coming off an open Saturday.

Two weeks between live shows and you already gotta fill time with leftovers?

Really sick, but funny. And having a British actor not known for his comedic skills committed to putting it over made it even funny.
Still, if you've ever seen French and Saunders' dirty old men that hump anything, including household appliances, at the drop of a hat, that sets the standard for things that are hysterical but require a decontamination shower after viewing

whoever wrote that astronaut who misses his kitty-cat skit needs to be fired and blacklisted from ever writing comedy again.

All I saw of Saturday's show was this abomination of a sketch, if this is the kind of shirt that gets to air I can't imagine how bad the shirt is that didn't make it.

I liked the Bond sketch... Beyond that, the show was almost unwatchable.

I agree with the sentiment that if this is the best they can do with an A-list host and two weeks to prepare that the finished product was pretty pathetic...

I certainly don't see a breakout artist in the new people. They all appear to be totally forgettable.

On further reflection...I think I liked Regine better last week when she was playing accordion behind Mick Jagger.
