SNL's Continued Downward Spiral Thread

Does Jack Black have any range other than just being Jack Black? No, but that was a very good episode.

The best of the season? Probably not. That still goes to John Mulaney, Martin Short or Ariana Grande in my opinion.

NBC (or, more likely, Lorne) edited out the crowd saying "shirt" during Ego's segment on WU on the videos they have been posting.

Also, Bill Burr and Kieran Culkin were spotted during Jack Black's crowd work in the monologue. But were there other celebs I missed?

At first, I turned things off after Update like I usually do, but I turned it back on when I couldn't sleep. Thought I was watching my DVR recording, but it must've been live, because I didn't even know about the sketch with Sarah Sherman, Bowen Yang and Brandi Carlisle on the wires, or the animated segment until I caught up on YouTube today.

Those were good, too, and I might have to bump this episode up a few notches among the season's best.

(An aside, they even managed to drop the audio for the "shirt" on my DVR recording when I went back to Update.)

The cheesy special effects of SNL always have made me laugh over the years — including the very visible wires and the closing shot of crew members wrangling them on that bedroom skit. The fake dog hands playing the bass guitar and paper mache eagle also had me chuckling last night.
