I do love how apparently morning show drama gets more clicks than any TV news drama. Fox News not taking NYPost's sloppy seconds.

I've watched this a few times and it struggles. And the background is way too busy.

I will say I watched the Finding Your Roots episode featuring Don Lemon and found him disarmingly engaging and sympathetic — black gay man from the Deep South, who on CNN is just a schtick — and now think that pairing him with a Deep South belle from 'Bama (who has managed to shed all evidence of a twang) might be a recipe for disaster, not least because they don't seem to be leaning into those vast differences of background. I think. I don't know for sure about their content or overarching reason for being — because I work in the morning and will never, ever find myself watching CNN in the morning (or Good Morning America 3, for that matter).

How much Good Morning is America entitled to, anyway? I think one was enough.

I've never been a fan of TV news people making it about themselves - whether its Lemon, Cuomo or anyone. Lemon seems to go out of his way to distract the viewer from the story on focus on himself, maybe some people are into that? That's fine.

I've watched CNN's morning shows for years. Kaitlan has been itching for this chance to work the desk. She's strong and assertive, and then some.

Might not be the best pairing but I wouldn't separate them just yet.

As for Don ... he was solid 3-4 years ago but something happened with him the last year or two.
