That said, you do have to consider the source on scores, but a lot of off-brand media outlets (small papers and radio stations) and official school accounts are out there.

You're right. I do find them great when covering high school football in the state of Texas. There are a lot of small newspapers and radio stations, especially in East and West Texas that are very helpful.

Do a book called "The Year In Twitter." Keep track of all the stupid tweets and all the "news flash" Tweets that turn out to be complete Bullspit. (Like recently someone Tweeting the Georgia QB had broken his ankle in 2 places; turns out it was sprained.)
