U.S. newspaper coverage of the Paris Olympics

Ann Killion's there for the SF Chronicle.
Tara Sullivan's there for the Boston Globe.
Linda Robertson's there for the Miami Herald.
Nancy Armour's there for USA Today.
Ron Kroichick also there for the Chronicle.

Salt Lake Tribune sent Julie Jag. And in a stroke of brilliance for all involved, she's also stringing for her last paper, the Santa Cruz Sentinel.

Then there's the BANG papers, which seem content to cover things from home and use AP. But about the only teams I see them on the road with lately are the 49ers and Giants

First time in 50 years, their current Olympic writer was given no explanation, had covered every olympics since 1998

Certainly not the same thing, but their Timberwolves writer was in Las Vegas and did a couple of Timberwolves features, getting Anthony Edwards (he is also authoring a biography of Edwards on the side) from Team USA and also on his teammate Nickeil Alexander Walker (Team Canada).

Norm Stewart, after Les asked about Travis Ford being out for the game and taking fluids: You ever had the shirts, Les?

Les: No.

Stewart: You look like you have.

And with that, the postgame news conference ended. TigerVols might be able to confirm.

The OC Register's Scott Reid has bylines from Paris now. He didn't last weekend.
